Instructions:

1. Paint the bird section and the pillar it is on with “Stormy” paint. Don’t paint the ball yet.
2. Paint just the base of the sculpture with “Tomato Red” paint.
3. Paint the ruler, propeller die cuts with black paint.
4. Apply petroleum jelly lightly to the pillar and the base.
5. Lightly apply the “Clam Shell” paint to the pillar and the red base areas. Do not overwork. Try to use as few light strokes as possible.
6. Apply a heat tool to the areas with the petroleum jelly. The paint will crackle a little. Use a paper towel to wipe away the paint in places to give it an aged appearance.
7. Paint the ball with black paint.
8. Use a dry brush technique and brush “Blue Sky” lightly over the bird to create more accents.
9. Stamp the 2 rulers on yellow paper and cut them out. Glue them to the matching die cuts and cut the die cuts in half. This will make 4 little rulers, but you will use only 3 of them.
10. Glue the 2 small black glass embellishments to the 2 bolts and set aside to dry.
11. Brad the 3 rulers together and set aside.
12. Glue “Dreamer” to the tag.
13. Attach the chain to the tag with the two tiny safety pins.
14. Paint the washers and propeller with silver paint, then stack and glue the washer onto the center of the propeller.
15. Glue the tiny circle graphic under the glass embellishment. Glue the glass embellishment to the top of the propeller.
16. Tear the dreamer quote from paper and apply with gloss medium around the middle of the black ball.
17. Use a glue dot to affix the rules to the bird tail.
18. Glue the propeller to the top of the bird head, glue the eyes in place and hang the “dreamer” sign around the neck.

Tips: You can force the paint to dry with a heat told to make the processes go faster…just don’t heat it to close so the paint doesn’t bubble.
